Job Description

Position based in the San Francisco Bay area in California to support local customers. Responsible for delivering the Area sales and margin plan. Hire, coach, develop and lead a technical sales and service team. Lead team to deliver documented value for customers that yields long-term customer retention and growth. Lead team in developing and executing sales plans to grow the business base and gain competitively held business. Manage territory growth by acquiring new accounts, nurturing existing customer relationships, and providing coaching/mentorship to field sales teams to maximize customer acquisition and retention. Collaborate with internal teams (Growth/Corporate Accounts, Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, Product Management) to develop sales campaigns, enhance selling techniques, ensure proper pricing/contract management, and drive profitability. Conduct customer training, plant visits, product demonstrations, and analysis to understand customer needs, present tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, lead a strong EH&S culture, and coordinate cross-functional relationships to support overall sales and service excellence.


 

Qualifications

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biotechnology or related field and 6 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation. The position also requires: 6 years of technical sales experience in oil and water processes and chemical treatment, including chemical processes applications, product specifications, chemical KPI development and monitoring, and chemical handling procedures; 6 years of experience working in heavy industrial environments, consistently utilizing personal safety equipment, and navigating exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and other common irritants found in refinery, chemical plants, and power plants; 6 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau for financial data analysis, scientific report writing, and the development of customer-facing PowerPoint presentations along with CRM software such as Salesforce for opportunity tracking and communication for upper management; and 6 years of experience managing and providing leadership to technical, sales, or field service teams to drive commercial results, including managing challenging situations and resolving disagreements between sales representatives, technical service personnel, or customers regarding product performance or application. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle. 50-60% domestic travel required to customer facilities to support sales teams and maintain high level customer relationships. Must be based in the San Francisco Bay area, CA to support local customers. 100% Remote position. Telecommuting is permitted, report into Veolia WTS, USA, Inc office in Trevose, PA.

Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.  The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.  Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated target of USD $196,206.
