Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice to and guide the team in building, developing, or designing functionality for new products, as well as guide and ensure the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

You will play a key role in optimizing our Salesforce platform, as well as other key technology products supporting Fannie Mae’s Single-Family business. The Single-Family Market Engagement – Product Management – Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for the lifecycle of features and integrations at the squad-level. You will own the process from detailed requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch optimization.

  • Strategic Recommendations: Partner with program leadership to shape the product roadmap. You will analyze business requests and technical capabilities to make data-backed recommendations on strategic direction, prioritization, and trade-offs.

  • Complex Coordination: Manage dependencies across different stakeholder groups and systems and coordinate on interrelated tasks. You will work seamlessly alongside other squads in our multi-squad environment to ensure cohesive platform development.

  • Advanced Agile Execution: Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and coordinate daily delivery using collaborative tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and Apptio Targetprocess.

  • Change Management & Adoption: Recognize that technology is only as good as its usage. You will support change management efforts by creating training materials and acting as a champion for the platform to ensure smooth user adoption.

  • Testing & QA: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring business users feel supported and heard during the validation phase.

  • Team Guidance: Provide guidance and coordination for junior product managers and business subject matter experts as needed, helping to elevate the overall quality and consistency of the team’s output.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences:

  • At least 4 years of experience in product management

  • Experience using product management tools like Jira or Confluence.

  • Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear strategic recommendations

  • Proven track record operating in a mature Agile/Scrum environment, with experience owning the backlog for a development squad

  • Familiarity with major CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot).

  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.

Desired Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

  • Strong proficiency in the suite of Microsoft products, such as PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with stakeholders and work effectively within a diverse team.

  • Experience rolling out sales enablement tools and connected user experiences.

  • Previous work related to digital product design and development.

  • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM).

Target Salary: $123,000-$161,000
