Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Clinical Nurse – Gastroenterology Medical Oncology (Inpatient Acute Care)

 

Our highly skilled nursing team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) consists of over 3,800 nursing professionals. Each of us is dedicated to delivering excellence in the art and science of professional nursing, consistent with our mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.

Clinical Nurses providing primary nursing care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members to medical oncology patients specializing from GI designated services.

You are:

You Need:

• BSN and New York State RN License/Registration
• BCLS Certification; PALS (if needed)
• 1 - 2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience a plus. 

 

You Will:

• Provide care for medical oncology patients including those patients with GI cancers.
• Implement the nursing process for medical patients requiring monitoring and nursing interventions.
• Provide end-of-life care in a compassionate, diverse setting to cultivate a healthy grieving process for the patient and family members
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care in a fast-paced environment
