Overview
Works under the direction of the Central Referral Manager and Senior Director of Primary Care and Access. Responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Central Referral specialty referral coordinators and office assistants. Front Office Supervisor will maintain working knowledge of all centralized specialties so appropriate leadership and expertise can be given to all team members. Maintains working knowledge of all software and reporting tools utilized for central referrals.

Front Office Supervisor will maintain working knowledge of all centralized specialties so appropriate leadership and expertise can be given to all team members. Maintains working knowledge of all software and reporting tools utilized for central referrals.
What you will do
- Demonstrates ability to respond positively to changing circumstances to maximize the opportunity or minimize the problem and keep team moral high. Must be a mentor as well as supervise the work of the central specialty referral team.
- Monitors staff time to ensure cost containment according to staffing schedules in cooperation with the Manager.
- Assures that customer service is a top focus for the team. Resolves concerns and responds to complaints related to care, access, and service in cooperation with the Manager.
- Effectively organizes workflow for the specialty team members ensuring appropriate coverage is in place to meet/exceed productivity measures and benchmarks for team as indicated on organization patient/quality goals.
- Ensures all daily tasks and reports are completed in a timely manner. Maintains ability to support and provide coverage to any specialty needing additional focus (covering for staff vacancies/FMLA/PTO/Illness).
- Maintains most up-to-date working knowledge and training documents for new team members and current team members for all specialties managed through central group.
- Maintains positive relationships with team members, managers, providers, and patients of the medical center so to promote efficiency and quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Experience
- 2 years Medical office experience (Required)
- Experience with referrals, authorizations, and insurance (Preferred)
