Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master

What you will be doing:

• Works with government stakeholders to understand current client business practices and business needs and elicit, develop and manage requirements

• Prepares estimations for business analysis tasks and deliverables

• Document and validate high level business needs.

• Document quality attributes, interfaces and other nonfunctional requirements

• Support development and refinement of requirements, identifying and recommending corrections to gaps or deficiencies.

• Consolidate user stories and user feedback on application throughout the development cycle

• Write and/or review documents needed to support application release

• Works closely with developers and testers to ensure all requirements are understood and have corresponding test scripts

• Support business validation of functionality

• Ensure the project teams have clear, consistent, and testable requirements

• Participate in backlog refinement and estimation activities and work with the project team to identify risks/impacts to the system

• Work as the Scrum Master for technical team coordination.

• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, planning and daily stand-ups

• Maintain the Jira board and related backlogs for the project

• Assist with the maintenance of project schedules and developing various status reports.

• Supports UAT prep efforts in conjunction with business owners/ users.

• Communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Develop a strong understanding of client mission, organization, and technology landscape to better understand how ICF can most effectively identify and address enterprise needs.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• 3+ years of work experience in Information Technology as a Business Analyst

• 3+ years of experience as the Scrum Master for technical team coordination

• 2+ years of recent experience working in an Agile development environment as a business analyst (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)  

• 2+ years of experience with conducting customer or user presentations

• US Citizenship or Green Card is required (required by the federal government for this position).  

• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance  

• MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or business administration.

• Experience in a government environment

• Comfortable with Agile development practices.

• Experience with Appian tool

• Able to multi-task and shift priorities as needed. 

• Ability to work effectively with numerous stakeholder types and bring a group to consensus. 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context. 

• Agile Certification preferred

• Scrum Master Certification preferred

• Business acumen. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint +

• Proficiency in formal software development life cycle processes

• Proficiency working with JIRA

• Demonstrated abilities as a driven, self-starter and quick study
