Enterprise Remote position.

Pay Range

$62.15 - $93.25

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and work associated with the closed loop technology software (ControlCheck).  Including the program to identify and communicate controlled substance variances to associated partners. ​ 
  • ​​Responsible for oversight with the ControlCheck Technician team.​ 
  • ​​Work with ControlCheck Team via the ControlCheck software to Identify system failures, complete automation cabinet and user mapping, and collect data related to software inefficiencies/ improvements​. 
  • ​​Partner with other disciplines to improve the handling of controlled substances through the identification of workflows and process that create variances in the documentation Work to identify changes in process and education that will address the variances to be applied across the Enterprise.​ 
  • ​​Coordinate training to pharmacy staff on the use of ControlCheck and best practices for medication management and ​provides ongoing education for pharmacy and other disciplines on operational controlled substance processes.
  • ​​Implement guided workflows provided by ControlCheck to streamline pharmacy operations and focus on high-priority tasks​.
  • ​​Serves as pharmacy department resource for operationalizing controlled substance best practices (i.e. controlled substance vault reconciliation reports, count discrepancy monitoring/ resolution, invoice reconciliation processes, operational policies and SOPs) .
  • Implement future pharmacy operational models in ControlCheck (i.e. Pharmacy invoice reconciliation module)​.
  • ​​Liaisons with Pharmacy Automation Team and Compliance Diversion Team for software go-lives and enhancements.​
  • Selects, coaches, and develops team. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary. Recommends hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business. 

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Pharmacist License issued by the sate in which the team member practices  

Education Required:

  • BS Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy 

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice.  Previous leadership experience in pharmacy operations with exposure to pharmacy automation and / or pharmacy informatics preferred.

  • ​Maintains advanced skills in area of practice, demonstrating a commitment to continuing professional growth and advancement of pharmacy profession.​ 
  • ​​Knowledge and understanding of performance improvement principles and processes​ 
  • ​​Ability to lead programs, projects and initiatives with caregivers at all levels of the organization.​ 
  • ​​Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with key stakeholders.​ 
  • ​​Ability to work with multiple competing priorities and the ability to prioritize.​ 
  • ​​Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.​

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • ​​This position may require travel, therefore, may be exposed to weather and road conditions. ​​ 
  • ​​Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.  Must have fine motor manipulation of hands and wrists to use computer keyboard.​ 
  • ​Exposed to a normal office environment.  Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
