Research Technician III, Immunobiology

A research technician position is available in the Department of Immunobiology to work evolution-guided immunology to inform CAR-T cell engineering. The successful candidate will perform experiments with cell lines and primary T cells in vitro and in mouse models in a collaborative lab environment. Other responsibilities will include lab ordering, mouse handling, coordinating schedules with other lab members to perform routine maintenance tasks, and attending lab meeting.

Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct scientific data collection and analysis for assigned research projects, exercising judgment to select and adjust methods as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and data, and provide data to the PI to support grant submissions, publications, and presentation of results.
- Compile research data and generate statistical analyses, performing preliminary analyses & interpretation to support the research team.
- Determine and acquire specialized parts, materials, equipment, and services required for laboratory operations, and maintain inventory and associated bookkeeping records.
- Train and guide students and staff in the operation of equipment and performance of technical procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry experience is preferred.
- Computational, imaging, and/or mouse handling experience would be helpful.
- Organizational and time management skills are essential to balance both laboratory maintenance duties and experimental research projects.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
