GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Talent & Employee Experience Manager is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality talent acquisition, onboarding, and leadership development strategies that reflect Brighton Center’s mission, values, and culture. This role champions Brighton’s “why” at every stage of the employee lifecycle, ensuring each process and interaction strengthens engagement, retention, and organizational alignment. Through strategic use of data and historical trends, the Talent & Employee Experience Manager identifies opportunities to improve recruitment, onboarding, and leader readiness, creating intentional programs that set employees and leaders up for success from day one.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position requires face-to-face interactions with staff, board, vendors, and the general public on a daily basis to accomplish all essential functions of the position.
- Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Development
- Responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment process for leadership and other high-impact roles, developing innovative sourcing strategies and building partnerships with universities, professional associations, and schools to cultivate a strong pipeline of future candidates. Assesses the competitive compensation associated with each role and works with leadership to ensure equity and market alignment. Develops and maintains a consistent, equitable recruitment process that provides an exceptional experience for both hiring managers and applicants, from first contact to offer acceptance. (35%)
- Onboarding & Leader Integration
- Designs and elevates onboarding programs for leaders and executives, ensuring alignment with Brighton’s values, voice, and “why.” Creates structured, intentional onboarding experiences that set the tone for engagement and retention, integrating both role-specific and culture-focused components. Collaborates with hiring managers to tailor onboarding for leadership roles, reinforcing organizational priorities and providing early connection to mission and values.(30%)
- Leadership Development & Performance Management Support
- Collaborates with the VP of HR on performance management initiatives, including tracking trends, identifying development needs, and aligning processes with organizational goals. Designs and facilitates engaging presentations and training sessions to strengthen leadership capabilities in talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention. Supports the creation and maintenance of leadership development programs that ensure new and existing leaders are well-equipped, culturally aligned, and positioned for long-term success. (15%)
- Employee Experience & Engagement Insights
- Coordinates and analyzes employee engagement, culture, and HR surveys, using historical data and trends to identify priorities and design intentional strategies that strengthen the employee experience. Partners with leaders to translate survey results into targeted actions, ensuring consistent communication of progress and outcomes. Acts as a Brighton Champion, ensuring the organization’s voice and purpose are embedded in every employee experience touchpoint. (15%)
OTHER FUNCTIONS

Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of talent and employee engagement best practices, supports HR team initiatives and cross-departmental projects as needed ,participates in organizational events and activities that strengthen culture and visibility. Responsible for supporting special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Human Resources. This may include assisting with DEI-related initiatives, coordinating engagement survey logistics, supporting HR presentations, or other strategic efforts that enhance culture and talent practices across the agency.
