JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Senior Analyst, Equity Accounting and External Reporting, to join our corporate finance team. This individual will report to the Senior Manager, External Reporting and be a key contributor in assisting in the general ledger close for share-based compensation and will be responsible for certain complex technical accounting areas, including share-based compensation, equity accounting, and earnings per share. This will include preparing monthly journal entries and monthly and quarterly key schedules used for accounting, tax, and both internal and external reporting. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of the Company’s external financial reporting process. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Subject matter expert and/or preparer of complex accounting areas, such as share-based compensation, equity accounting and earnings per share
- Prepare analysis and schedules as part of month-end close procedures for share-based compensation
- Conduct research into unique transactions related to share-based compensation, equity accounting and financial reporting
- Assist with the implementation of software that will be used to improve the accounting processes around share-based compensation
- Contribute to the external financial reporting process – primarily preparing financial statements and footnotes, maintaining supporting documentation for all quarterly and annual external filings.
- Drive continuous improvement in the share-based compensation/equity accounting and financial reporting processes through cross-functional collaboration efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on all equity and financial reporting requests.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the position
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
