Apartment Porter

Description

Schell Brothers' sister company, Ocean Atlantic, is looking for an Apartment Porter. The candidate joining our team will be responsible for detailed maintenance, supporting the property manager, and reporting maintenance issues within our communities. The porter will prioritize the safety of the residents, team members, and themselves. Prior experience in groundskeeping or porter duties is preferred. • Oversee the detailed maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community structures.
• Daily removal of trash from office areas and around the apartment community.
• Aid in preparing units for new tenants by clearing trash from vacant apartments before they are made ready.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager by performing assigned maintenance tasks promptly.
• Help clean available apartments and model units.
• Support in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues.
• Report any maintenance issues concerning available apartments, models, the clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times during the workday and when present in the community.
• Possess mechanical skills and knowledge to operate and repair various industrial equipment.
• Knowledgeable about essential handbook guidelines and security regulations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees, guests, and service providers.
• Able to complete the tasks mentioned above without requiring assistance from external contractors.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have 1-2 years previous groundskeeper or porter experience.
