As our Senior Talent Strategy Advisor supporting senior executives and key talent segments, such as High Potentials or successors, you will play a lead role in planning, coordination, and execution of critical talent programs and initiatives that foster a culture promoting long-term executive success and capabilities. A track record of over-achievement in designing and delivering high-impact leadership programs and experiences across executive levels, and proven partnership with executives and HR Business Partners is essential.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL.

What you'll do:

  • Consult with business leaders to develop and implement talent programs and solutions to address key business needs and strategies.

  • Participate in projects from strategy to implementation.

  • Develop and deliver data-driven insights and materials to support talent practices and talent deliverables.

  • Create and manage programs for specific employee populations, such as military-affiliated talent, high potential talent, and any other key segments as well as critical skills for the future of the workforce.

  • Use data analytics to inform leadership development talent strategies, proactively identify skill development opportunities based on business needs, identify trends, and measure program effectiveness (ROI).

  • Contribute to the management of vendor relationships and partners with USAA procurement to ensure optimal outcomes.  

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • 6+ years of experience in talent program and process development and implementation with a focus on talent development (e.g. coaching, mentoring, rotations, leadership development, talent pipeline planning, learning, skills management).

  • Knowledge of various talent management technology solutions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with senior executives.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic talent management initiatives.

  • Uses technology, AI, and/or automation to work efficiently

  • Stays attuned to advancement in research and practice and applies those insights to work.

  • Demonstrates a structured approach to problem solving while balancing competing priorities.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience developing and managing world-class talent management programs in large, Fortune 500 organizations.

  • Track record of infusing evidence-based solutions in a business-savvy practical way.

  • Knowledge of AI-based talent platforms (e.g., Eightfold, Lightcast, Percipio).

  • Experience or knowledge in taking a skills-based approach to talent.

  • Ability to influence without authority, especially across leadership and matrixed environments.

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
