Our FP&A team is seeking a passionate, highly strategic, driven, and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our GTM Foundations leaders to tackle high-priority strategic questions for our organization and be part of the core FP&A Strategic Initiatives team responsible for objective analysis, operational insights, and strategic initiatives across all of LinkedIn.  

The GTM Foundations team is aligned to support the functional areas of the organization which span Member & Customer Success, Go To Market (GTM) Operations, Pricing, and Marketing & Communications. This role will work closely with leaders across these organizations and FP&A on data-driven financial analyses and strategic initiatives that influence business outcomes. The role is highly cross-functional, requiring solid business acumen and influencing skills to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using insights & analyses to solve complex business problems in a technology-centric industry, and care about driving the success of LinkedIn’s businesses. 

Responsibilities 

  • Partner with Global Business Organization (GBO), Marketing, and Finance leaders to lead and support strategic analyses to address the evolving business dynamics 

  • Identify opportunities to provide data-driven insights & analyses to the business that increases the impact, effectiveness and efficiency in resource allocation and operational rigor 

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of our various businesses and develop deep understanding of key value drivers to identify improvement areas and opportunities 

  • Own creation and review of complex financial models to ensure they reflect the changing business needs 

  • Bring clear thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to a range of challenging business questions 

  • Deliver strategic projects for our leadership that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives 

  • Communicate effectively with partners at all levels, especially senior executives 

  • Cultivate relationships with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Go-to-market Operations,  Marketing, Finance, and Business Operations 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in economics, finance, math, or related discipline or relevant work experience  

  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience in a technology-driven business company 

  • 2+ years of analytics experience working directly in an FP&A, Strategic Finance or Business Operations environment with track record of impact-driving results 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Practical experience: Experience with enterprise software, SaaS or online advertising businesses; experience and interest in surfacing data-driven insights for strategic topics that impact GTM Operations, Member & Customer Success, Marketing, or Pricing. 

  • Natural problem-solver: comfortable with data and ambiguity, and able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on the overall strategy  

  • Demonstration of critical thinking: ability to question the output of a financial model or investment case and considers options for improvement or provides thoughtful alternatives 

  • Initiative and ownership: Proactive, results oriented, with a can-do attitude and strict attention to detail in meeting critical deadlines; Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities 

  • Highly analytical: experience decomposing and solving real world business problems, ideally building/using advanced Excel models 

  • Effective communications: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analy
