The TA Technology Lead is responsible for defining and delivering the Talent Acquisition (TA) technology strategy, ensuring the effective adoption, optimisation, and governance of TA systems. The role provides dedicated leadership for TA technology, enabling improved efficiency, scalability, and user experience across recruitment processes.
The role will take ownership of the TA technology roadmap, including maximising existing platforms (e.g. Workday), leading the implementation and optimisation of ServiceNow, and identifying future technology opportunities. It will also ensure appropriate governance, compliance, and change management frameworks are in place.
What you will be doing:
Strategy & Roadmap
- Define, own and maintain the TA technology strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to TA and organisational priorities.
- Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on TA technology to the Head of TA Operations and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor external market trends and emerging technologies to inform future direction and innovation.
Technology Management & Delivery:
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of TA technology solutions, including evaluation, selection, implementation, optimisation, and ongoing performance management.
- Maximise utilisation and return on investment of existing systems, including Workday.
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of ServiceNow within TA processes.
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Develop business cases and conduct suitability and impact assessments for new tools and technologies.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for TA technology.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Work in partnership with IT, Legal, and HRIS teams to ensure alignment with enterprise systems and architecture.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Define requirements for TA data, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure systems enable accurate, timely, and actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and performance of TA technology.
Change Management & Adoption
- Lead change management activities to support the successful implementation and adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Develop and deliver training and enablement materials for TA teams and hiring managers.
- Promote a consistent and high-quality user experience across all TA systems.

Who we’re looking for:
- Experience operating at a manager level within TA technology, HRIS, or recruitment operations.
- Demonstrated experience defining and delivering technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (preferably Workday) and workflow/ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow).
- Experience managing technology implementations and optimisation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience in change management and driving user adoption.
- Analytical capability with experience using data to inform decisions.
- Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance requirements in HR systems.
- Project or programme management experience.
- Experience in digital transformation within HR or TA functions.
- Knowledge of automation tools or AI applications in recruitment.
