Job Summary
The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory control policies and procedures in their respective distribution center. This leader supervises inventory teams and collaborates cross-functionally to implement and support QA and other initiatives. The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Supervisor follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency, quality and accuracy, utilizing inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and performs physical inventory counts during scheduled inventories.
- Measures and reports KPI performance including trend analyses, improvement plans and suggestions.
- Manages all inventory write-off tasks for distribution centers according to stated procedures.
- Manages inventory team, including scheduling and assignments.
- Trains, supports and develops associates involved with inventory.
- Ensures adherence to policies and best practices.
- Provides expectations to team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provides necessary training to all associates, including new hires.
- Leads efforts to drive continuous improvements with inventory accuracy and efficiencies.
- Provides guidance for inventory analyses and SOPs.
- Ensures that inventory levels are accurate to maximize fill rates.
- Performs stocking reconciliations and addresses discrepancies.
- Reconciles incoming shipments, including freight shipments and returns.
- Implements inventory control systems and practices.
- Performs audits pertinent to inventory accuracy and integrity of claims.
- Inspects operational procedures to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Interacts with management to identify and address issues and opportunities daily.
- Works to minimize financial loss related to theft, vandalism and inventory shrink.
Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
- Ability to teach, train, influence and collaborate across internal departments to ensure policy adherence and to drive continuous improvement.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities, with an attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of integrity and professionalism, with a focus on supporting our team members and delivering for our customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
- 1+ year’s proven experience in a managerial role and/or leading teams.
- Proven experience performing various quality functions (inspection, control, assurance, audits).
- Lean six sigma and project management skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and technology (including MS Office, Promapp, Power BI, Visio, etc.).
- Customer-centric spirit and task-execution.
- Enthusiasm for data, analysis, and providing simple insights.
- Passion for solving complex challenges.
- Comfort influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly.
- Test-and-learn mentality and agile way of working to improve team products.

Physical Demands / Working Environment
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights, typically 25 to 50 pounds or more, depending on the job duties.
- Pushing and Pulling: Capability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment loaded with materials throughout the warehouse. This may involve pushing or pulling heavy loads over extended distances or up ramps.
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift. Warehouse employees need to be able to move around the war
