About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented technical program manager for the AWS Security team. The AWS Security Corporate Security team is responsible for driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data. You will help build a program of repeatable processes for responding to regulatory and audit requests. You will need to use your technical knowledge to dive deep into our security programs such as data loss prevention, identity and access management, supply chain and vendor risk to help document and validate the security controls within our corporate environment.

AWS is looking for a Security TPM to ensure that our infrastructure operates to the highest standards required to maintain and enhance internal and external customer trust. If you enjoy leading teams of engineers and developers analyzing, engineering, and architecting system services, custom services, COTS products, networks, infrastructure applications, and you are skilled at organizing, driving, and communicating laterally and upwards to management, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity in solving complex and far-reaching problems. A successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical security knowledge and a demonstrated track record of successful complex and large scale project deliveries.

Key job responsibilities
* Identify new large scale risks and opportunities, using data to validate assumptions and fully define the control environment
* Partner closely with internal service teams and AWS Security Assurance to perform risk assessments and respond to regulatory requests
* Dive deep into the operations of AWS’s corporate security programs to develop a broad domain and technical understanding of our control environment
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information
* Anticipate bottlenecks and provide escalation management (evaluating trade-offs, dependencies across teams, and making recommendations to stakeholders/leadership while balancing the business needs/commitments with technical constraints)
