Job Description

This role will be based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale.

Our Sales Operations organization is responsible for building the ultimate go-to-market engine to connect our solutions with customer needs at scale. As an Operations Excellence Senior Associate, you will be partnering with cross-functional, sales operations and central operations stakeholders to optimize, scale, automate and outsource tasks that will enable the sales organization to operate more efficiently. The Senior Associate will lead initiatives and projects that scale Sales Operations function or accelerate the growth of the business.

The Senior Associate will have a core skill set that blends advanced technical competency, Sales Operations and Sales business knowledge and strategic execution to drive critical projects and systems implementation. The candidate should also be able to handle non-routine information, be open minded to challenge the status quo and work on a rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence from himself/herself and business partners. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Lead and provide recommendations on a variety of decision-making projects that will drive the standardization, scaling and automation of our operations  
  • Act like an owner in driving strategic initiatives to implement processes at a global level 
  • Help the Ops Excellence Manager to continuously pressure test the way we think about the business, developing and leading initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes, tools, systems, and other aspects of our core operations 
  • Establish strong working relationships with peers in other Sales Operations teams and cross functional partners (Sales, Central Operations, Finance, Product and Engineering teams) to achieve objectives  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:     

  • 4+ years of experience in sales strategy and operations or equivalent role
  • 2+ years of experience as a business partner or analyst, authoring business requirements and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Sales Operations or other cross-functional partners
  • Direct experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM platforms
  • Experience with Excel, SQL, Power Apps or Alteryx  
  • Experience in communicating effectively and presenting to Senior Executives 
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Expertise in Sales and Sales Operations workflows and processes, including:
    • Account planning
    • Account segmentation
    • Quota setting and management
    • Sales crediting and compensation
    • Sales forecasting
    • Sales motions
    • Territory planning and management
  • Experience leading or contributing to sales or business process transformation initiatives
  • Experience building for scale; comfortable with data and ambiguity
  • Experience embedding a Research and Development (R&D) mindset into Ops processes
  • Experience evaluating new tools to automate operational processes
  • Proficiency 2+ years of experience with sales technology, including third-party tools (Anaplan, Salesforce) and internal, first-party business applications
  • Ability to leverage numbers and insights to influence & drive sound decision making 
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders   
  • Ability to effectively solve complex problems from high priority strategic initiatives
