Manager Patient Financial Services

The Manager, Patient Financial Services (PFS) is directly responsible for carrying out the plan to improve the revenue cycle. This position supervises all billing, cash posting, and follow-up staff and is charged with improving their productivity. The Manager is actively involved in problem solving and conflict resolution with team members, customers, and insurance companies. This position requires a high level of timely, accurate, and complete analysis and oversight of the collection of revenue.  

Education/Experience

• Associates degree or combination of related experience and education required
• Related experience is at least 5 years in a medical billing capacity with at least 3 of those years in a supervisory role

Qualifications

• Able to use personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail / calendar functions for day-to-day activities.
• Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
• Broad knowledge of medical billing operations and third-party billing policies and procedures.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing competing demands.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
• Prior knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.
