Overview

Symbria Rx Services is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to add to our growing team at our Pharmacy located in St. Louis, MO!

 

 

Position Overview: 

The Long-Term Care Pharmacist position at our company is a HYBRID role that involves remote work and staffing in the pharmacy on a weekend rotation. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing medication orders, providing drug information, and maintaining accurate documentation. Work Schedule: 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday:   8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. CST (9 hours per week)
  •  Saturday, Sunday:   3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. CST (14 hours per week)

 

 

***This is a Hybrid Remote position***

Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledgeable understanding of current medication information, health care concepts and all regulations relative to the practices of institutional pharmacy.
  • Interpret and assess new and refill order requests accurately to ensure appropriate therapy and maintain patient safety.
  • Clarify inappropriate physician orders when necessary.
  • Prepare and complete all appropriate documentation required on orders, prescriptions, controlled substance records, general workflow, etc.
  • Provide physicians, nursing staff, and public with drug information such as drug selection, dosage, proper administration, etc.
  • Work remotely to handle initial reviews, clarifications, and clinical phone calls.

  • Staff the pharmacy on a weekend rotation.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from NABP accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Institutional pharmacy experience required.
  • Valid state registered pharmacist license.
