Crystal Dynamics is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will uphold the design and visual direction set by the UX/UI Director. As a central figure in our design team, this role will involve in-engine prototyping, crafting, implementing, and optimizing UI assets for our forthcoming game. You will be charged with sustaining our studio's commitment to high design, visual fidelity, hyper-realistic aesthetics, and presenting game-related information in an understandable manner. 

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will: 

• Collaborate closely with the UX/UI Director to define and realize the UI design and aesthetic. 
• Design and establish UX components and pathways, including menus, in-game HUD elements, stats, and inventory screens. 
• Swiftly develop solutions to design challenges, always adhering to the creative direction. 
• Craft visual design systems that satisfy both game design and UX viewpoints. 
• Engage with UX Designers, UI Artists, game designers, producers, and programmers in the crafting and application of the game UI. 
• Test functionalities and address issues to ensure the final product is ready for the end user. 
• Aid in refining and streamlining the UI tools and methodologies. 
• Regularly liaise with Programmers regarding ongoing projects.

To be considered for this role, we require the following: 

• Experience as a Senior UX/UI Designer (or equivalent) in the gaming industry with a focus on UI/UX for console or PC title.   
• Hands-on experience with prototyping inside in game-engine, ideally Unreal Engine. 
• Proficiency with widely-used design tools (e.g., Figma or Sketch) and their integration into the game engine. 
• A deep understanding of design processes, principles, game navigation, and prevalent UX patterns. 
• Possesses a strong internal growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities to advance and expand skill sets.
• A portfolio or examples of work that focus on personal contributions to projects, which should include a shot breakdown detailing direct responsibilities. This portfolio should comprise at least 3 prime examples that demonstrate expertise in iterating on UX Design with a high-fidelity outcome.

Preference will be given to candidates who have: 

• Extensive experience working in Unreal Engine.  

It'll be a bonus if you also have: 

• An understanding of scripting or fundamental markup languages. 
• An artistic foundation, such as painting, texturing, illustration, or animation. 

The pay range for this role includes the annual base salary, not including bonus and the generous benefits package that Crystal Dynamics provides all full-time employees. Individual compensation is determined by work location within our approved states, as well as additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education.
