Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with VP Operations, Studio & Field Scheduling and Human Resources to develop the technical training program.
  • Owns the roll-out of the training program, inclusive of communication to trainees and business leadership.
  • In partnership with Human Resources & NBC Sports leadership, establish relationships with local college and university representatives and broadcasting schools to identify potential graduating seniors and underclassmen to participate in the training program.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team, Human Resources and VP Operations, Studio & Field Scheduling on sourcing local talent.
  • Lead discussions with production and engineering teams to identify trainees.
  • Schedule shadowing rotations and supervise incoming trainees in partnership with production.
  • Identify appropriate placement of trainees (technical/production) based upon skill set, interest, and feedback from the business.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiar with scheduling database systems
  • 2- 3 years of broadcast operations experience, sports broadcast experience preferred
  • Must be extremely organized and detailed oriented and excellent written and oral communication
  • Must have good communication skills, strong analytical skills and be able to work under pressure
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
