At ManTech, we are seeking a skilled Model-Based System Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and analysis of Navy platform and system models using cutting-edge MBSE principles. As a Model-Based System Engineer at ManTech, you will play a crucial role in developing and integrating digital models for Navy systems. You will review and abstract data from Navy technical documentation to implement within the system models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a distributed team, building representative models of Navy platforms, systems, and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, integrating, and simulating digital models of Navy systems
- Reviewing, extracting, and abstracting data from Navy technical documentation for implementation in system models
- Working within Cameo Systems Modeler to build representative models of Navy platforms, systems, and processes.
- Developing models to support a variety of analysis methods to meet unique customer requirements.
- Guiding and mentoring junior modelers in developing and implementing novel approaches to meet customer needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- 2+ years of related professional experience
- Knowledge and understanding of shipboard control systems, information technology, and network infrastructure.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience modeling or simulating Naval applications or similar domains.
- Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential. The ability to follow directions is a must.
- Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, CATiA, or other SysML/Modeling tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- OCSMP SysML Certifications (highly preferred)
- INCOSE Certifications
- A solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to work in a distributed team environment.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
- United States Citizen
Physical Requirements:
- This is a 100% remote position, requiring the ability to work from a home office or another suitable remote location.
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.

The projected compensation range for this position is $66,800-$111,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
