Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for the technical oversight of machining processes for Propulsor blades within Naval Defense. In this position you will gain exposure to all processes used within a Manufacturing environment whilst also providing an opportunity for career development within a global organization.

Key Accountabilities:
Developing a complete manufacturing machining process from condition of supply thru packaging for new product introduction and legacy products
The ability to create G-code with both CAM and manual programming.
Comprehensive understanding of cutting tools and correct applications for them
Initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
Incorporate Lean Manufacturing best practices and working in a culture focused on continuous improvement
Supporting bid proposals for legacy and new opportunities
Basic Requirements:
Associates degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 7+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 5+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming
Masters’ degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 3+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming
In lieu of degree, 9+ years’ experience of working with CAM and G-code programming
In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to get DoD security clearance, confidential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Siemens NX modeling, drafting and manufacturing and Vericut
Knowledge of Siemens 840D controllers
Excellent understanding of geometric tolerance along with blueprints and specs
5 Axis CNC programming
