We have an exciting opportunity at the Boxmeer facility for a Senior Distribution Coordinator
Welcome in our team
You will be part of the distribution department within the COE Supply Chain Management in Boxmeer. The Boxmeer, De Bilt, and Cologne sites are part of the Animal Health Netherlands network, where veterinary medicines are produced and packed for the global market. The distribution team consists of 5 other coordinators, and you will report to the Distribution Lead.
Within our global supply chain organization, the Senior Distribution Coordinator acts as the central hub in complex international logistic flows. You bring structure, oversight and strategic insight to ensure seamless distribution of our healthcare products worldwide. In this role, you combine operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset, strengthening collaboration across departments and driving high standards in service, compliance, and performance.
Purpose of the role
As a Senior Distribution Coordinator, you act as the strategic connector within our global supply chain. You will plan, book, and monitor shipments of diverse healthcare products, ensuring they are delivered on time, under the right conditions and at the right cost. You provide insights across international transport flows, proactively mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in logistics, problem-solving and increasing the overall performance of our global distribution network.
Key responsibilities
- Book and coordinate shipments with assigned forwarders for diverse healthcare products
- Serve as primary contact for customers, carriers, customs, and internal teams
- Ensure trade compliance and create accurate customs documents (EX/A, T-docs, COO)
- Prepare and process shipping documents (B/L, AWB, CMR, commercial invoices, packing lists)
- Lead or actively contribute to cross-functional and global supply chain projects
- Provide proactive shipment updates, handle inquiries, and manage exceptions
- Coordinate Dangerous Goods transports in line with regulations
- Maintain accurate data in TMS, ensure master data quality, and process invoices correctly
- Act as escalation point for complex logistical issues (e.g. delays, losses, customs challenges) and drive resolution across stakeholders
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation
- At least three years of relevant experience in logistics
- Strong global forwarding knowledge (incoterms, trade lanes, customs)
- Passion for logistics and supply chain management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective stakeholder management; proactive and inclusive approach
- Fluent communication in English and Dutch
- Proficient with ERP (SAP), Microsoft Office, and BI tools
- Knowledge of dangerous goods shipping and GDP/GMP (or willingness to train)
