Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading (TGP) and its affiliates are expanding and developing quickly in support of the company’s transition to power. Most notably, the acquisition of a range of energy assets, from renewable sources such as wind and solar, to batteries and CCGT’s. For trading this implies significant growth in trading volumes, a larger geographical footprint and an urgency for process automation, which has many implications for IT. The Physical & Intraday Trading team will support the Short-Term Power and Asset Trading functions with high performant trading and related systems, including automated/algorithmic trading capabilities and forecasting/optimization services. In this context TotalEnergies is willing to switch actual ETRM to more modern and cross asset platform.

Activities

In this role, you will be expected to support the business in the drafting of business/functional requirements for use by software engineering and third-party system providers, to participate to the Orchestrade project aiming at replacing actual in-house ETRM. You will contribute to testing and quality assurance processes.

Business Analysis & Solutions Design

• Act as an interface to the business and ensure an understanding of the business objectives and priorities, and be proactive in proposing value-adding solutions to the business
• Configure the system via the GUI for business readiness (setup / workflow / template)
• Work with the business to define business/functional requirements, and ensure business validation of such requirements and consistency with the systems landscape and strategy of Trading IT
• Work with the technical team, including software/application engineers, on solutions design and delivery
• Work with the vendor team, when it comes to core development managed externally
• Prepare and execute test plans, and ensure compliance with user/business/functional specifications and IT control framework 
• Work closely with BA’s and other IT resources from across the Trading IT organization, especially in the context of migration 
• Leverage on your general knowledge to propose business process improvement

Service Delivery & Support

• Prepare project plans and other change initiatives, which may be as part of a team, and contribute to the implementation of such projects
• Liaise with the business on all aspects of service delivery and promote IT solutions delivered
