What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $130,000 - $160,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work at least two (2) days in the office at Denver International Airport – CONA CntrCore Lvl 03 (8700 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249). Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect to join the DEN Business Technologies (BT) Enterprise Systems and Technologies Team. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our Enterprise Systems and Technologies group, where you'll help shape and support our IT operations, applications, and business teams. You'll work closely with various teams, taking the time to understand their unique needs and translating those into innovative solutions that make a real difference for our customers.

Specifically, as the IT Infrastructure Architect, you will:

  • Have a front row seat with designing and building the next iteration of our Data Center Master Plan to which we will migrate workloads to future hybrid solutions.

  • Be a part of the core team that will be establishing the architecture that will support DEN for the next decade and beyond.

  • Manage the design, deployment, and high-level support for solutions and systems, encompassing applications, platforms, hardware, cloud services, and integrations.

  • Work closely with customers and colleagues to identify opportunities and make recommendations to design and build prototypes of those solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Research and evaluate capabilities and gaps in a portfolio of systems.

  • Ensure secure, well-maintained, highly available, and cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions.

  • Remain flexible working hours, including availability for nights and weekends as needed.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for some or all the following programs: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Proofpoint, Azure, Power Shell, terraform, and VMWare.

  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ITIL)

  • Proficient in designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure on premise
