This role involves collaboration with developers, product managers, and data teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality experience to our users.</p> <h3>What You'll Do</h3> <p><strong>Microservice Development:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and implement new microservices.</li><li>Maintain and enhance existing high-impact microservices.</li></ul><p><strong>Architecture and Planning:</strong></p><ul><li>Participate in design and planning discussions, contributing innovative architectural ideas.</li><li>Address complex architectural challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.</li></ul><p><strong>Code Development and Optimization:</strong></p><ul><li>Write efficient, clean, and scalable code.</li><li>Test, troubleshoot, and debug code to ensure high-quality deliverables.</li><li>Optimize applications for maximum speed and performance.</li></ul><p><strong>System Enhancements:</strong></p><ul><li>Identify opportunities to modify and enhance existing systems.</li><li>Develop and implement system modifications from inception to deployment.</li></ul><p><strong>Collaboration and Communication:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate effectively with other team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.</li><li>Work closely with non-technical team members to design optimal solutions for product requirements.</li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul><li>Experience in OOP and MVC design and development patterns. Good understanding of data structures and design patterns.</li><li>7+ years of back-end development experience in building large, complex, highly scalable web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework.</li><li>Solid understanding of Ruby syntax, its nuances, and core concepts. Ability to write clean and readable code.</li><li>Familiarity with concepts of RESTful.</li><li>Experience building APIs, including authentication, cleanliness, and role-based access permissions.</li><li>Experience with SQL or NoSQL database technologies (e.g. MySQL, ElasticSearch, CouchBase, Redis, etc.).</li><li>Experience with AWS or similar cloud-based technologies (e.g. EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, Athena, etc.).</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar tools is preferred.</li><li>Experience with Bloomberg, Capiq, or similar systems is preferred.</li><li>Comfortable with source version control software (Git).</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of server-side architecture best practices.</li><li>Deep understanding of the HTTP protocol and networking.</li></ul>
