Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a detail-oriented Real Estate Administrator to join our National Program Management Office to support a significant infrastructure project.

In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Program Office as well as various administrative functions to help expedite and manage real estate land acquisition efforts.

 These efforts include but are not limited to: the coordination and liaising with Sector Offices, the assembly and tracking of key real estate deliverables, and any other financial and administrative functions relating to the program office.

This administrative position may require the incumbent to exercise discretion and independent judgment in order to meet established objectives. Understands priorities within the office and helps ensure that they are met. Anticipates where problem areas may arise; evaluates alternative methods of accomplishing tasks and meeting goals; and initiates suitable action. May supervise lower-level administrative support personnel.

Note: US Citizenship is required for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate with Sector Field Offices to procure and track key real estate acquisition documents and deliverables;
  • Assemble packets required for acquisitions, negotiations, condemnations, and other real estate activities;
  • Help coordinate with government agencies, including DHS and USACE, to gather real estate acquisition data for our GIS team and to help leadership resolve land acquisition challenges;
  • Obtain competitive bids from outside vendors for a variety of services such as on-site copiers, maintenance services, etc.
  • Prepare detailed comparisons to determine which vendor best meets the needs of the office with respect to both cost and level of service.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and conditions; submitting recommended purchase/lease arrangements to Project/Operations Manager for approval.
  • Reconcile various office accounts; paying operating bills or submitting appropriate documentation to the corporate office for payment and following up as needed to ensure timeliness and avoidance of late payments.
  • Prepare financial reports as requested by management.
  • Keep current on all project and Company policies and procedures, interpreting and administering same.
  • May represent the office by attendance at meetings with the client or others. Keeping manager informed of all pertinent action/pending action.
  • Administering the operating budget for the project office. Giving input for initial figures; investigates, resolves, and reports all variances to the Project/Operations Manager.
  • Purchasing and maintaining an appropriate inventory of frequently used office supplies.
  • Originating correspondence and reports not requiring the personal attention of Project/Operations Manager.
  • Reviewing time reports to verify accuracy of hours worked and Job#/WBS charges. Following up to ensure timely processing of corrections, tracking paid-time-off hours charged, and maintaining schedule of future hours to be taken.
  • Coordinating telephone changes, office moves, best utilization of space/equipment, etc.
  • May supervise lower-level administrative support personnel, assigning work, reviewing completed assignments, and offering training and guidance. May provide input for, or complete, performance evaluations.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or equivalent) and typically 2-5 years of experience in an administrative/financial capacity.

Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Additionally, a demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and the utilization of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, is required. A demonstrated ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines is preferred.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Working knowledge of real estate concepts relating to the acquisition of land, such as easements, appraisals, surveys, and title documents, is not required but helpful. Working knowledge of navigating GIS or web mapping systems, such as Google Earth or
