We are currently seeking a Sr. Harness Schematics Engineer.  This position requires an experienced professional to work with hardware engineering teams and suppliers to obtain harness data. You will also be working with mechanical engineering teams on harness drawings as well as finalizing connector selection. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.

RoleWork with hardware engineering teams and suppliers to obtain harness relevant dataCreate and maintain wiring diagrams and 2D schematicsSelect fuses and wire sizes Work with mechanical engineering teams on harness drawings, solving package issues and finalizing connector selection Utilize and maintain component librariesGenerate harness printsMerge harness schematics with 3D designs into a consistent data set that we submit to harness manufacturersImplement and conduct data quality checksMaintain and configure harness variants for vehicles and a variety of different test bench designsWork with tool suppliers on integrations to streamline the processes and to improve harness data qualityWork with Quality Engineers on incoming quality checks and harness rework activitiesWork with technicians to build harnesses for test and kitting benchesReport and escalate issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with different teams and harness suppliersParticipate in the design of a world class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement. Work with device owners to obtain and maintain DTs (device transmittals)
Qualifications5+ years of automotive experienceProven knowledge in harness schematic design and vehicle harness developmentProven experience with harness schematic tools such as PREEvision, Capital, VeSys or othersDetailed knowledge of relevant format such as kbl, xml and othersHarness packaging experienceExperience in selecting wiring sizes and types as well as connectorsHarness Debugging SkillsHarness manufacturing experienceDeep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

EducationBachelor of Science in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Computer Science or other related fieldsSalary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Michigan Range - $96,000 - $137,500
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
