The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is hiring several leadership roles for our Technology Delivery teams. These leadership roles would directly oversee teams of software engineers and work in partnership with other leaders to support end-to-end integrated delivery teams providing mission-critical technology solutions.
The Technology Delivery Manager is responsible for delivering business value by partnering with the business customer and domain experts to ensure the stability, security and evolution of products that align with technical strategy and business outcomes. These positions require a customer-centric and agile perspective, with experience in the software development life cycle (SDLC) to coordinate technology delivery on various solution platforms. They will focus on the assessment and development of technology talent within their team and work on cross-functional efforts to mature the technology organization.
There are two specific leadership positions outlined below and other leadership roles may become available as these positions are filled. Job Summaries:
Payment Automation Manager (PAM): This position will lead a team of approximately 12 software engineers supporting the system to disburse domestic payments on behalf of Federal Agencies. The delivery manager also oversees the successful execution of the team's responsibility second and third level production support in partnership with Treasury. The team is working through aggressive timelines, with parallel efforts and across a variety of technologies.
Stored Value Card (SVC): This position will be lead a team of 10-15 software engineers, solution architects, and software quality assurance analysts building software to facilitate payments by Service members onboard Navy ships and select bases. The SVC program works in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) delivery model supporting both software and hardware on a range of technologies such as Java, Angular, .NET and Cloud Technologies.
The primary work location for these positions is Kansas City, with Omaha-based candidates considered for the SVC role. Full-time remote candidates will also be considered.
Key Activities:
Manage the product delivery lifecycle to deliver a product that follows all security, performance, delivery and quality standards.
Partner with business stakeholders to build the right product that creates optimal business value, while working with domain experts to ensure product alignment with the technical and strategic vision.
Grow and develop a cross-functional team that self organizes, work independently and build skillsets needed to meet team/organizational objectives.
Facilitate change by creating valued partnerships with the business and teams to drive understanding and knowledge on product evolution.
Recruits and retains diverse talent by driving engagement and supporting professional growth for employees and leaders through feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
Manages performance process and communicates clear expectations; engages direct reports in performance, coaching, and development conversations; and provides performance evaluations based on the results achieved against expectations.
