Job Description
About the role
As a part of the Brand Marketing and Creative Team, the Digital Asset Systems and Processes Associate will facilitate the organization of all Spanx assets in a Digital Asset Management environment. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This role is based in our New York City office, requires weekly in-office work Tuesday-Thursday, and reports into the Manager, Creative Systems.

- Asset Organization: Maintain a comprehensive digital asset management system to organize, categorize, and store digital assets, including images, videos, audio files, documents, and other media types.
- Metadata Management: Apply metadata tags, keywords, and other descriptive information to digital assets to facilitate easy search and retrieval.
- Asset Acquisition: Coordinate the acquisition of new digital assets from internal and external sources, ensuring proper documentation and rights management.
- Asset Distribution: Manage the distribution of digital assets to internal stakeholders, external partners, and third-party vendors as needed, ensuring proper access controls and usage permissions.
- Asset Usage Monitoring: Monitor the usage of digital assets across various channels and platforms, tracking usage rights, licenses, and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Version Control: Maintain version control for digital assets to ensure that the most up-to-date versions are used, and obsolete assets are archived or removed.
- System Maintenance: Monitor the performance of critical systems and applications, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless operation.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform process optimization efforts.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff members on new processes, systems, and tools to ensure smooth adoption and integration into daily operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for further optimization and efficiency gains, and lead initiatives to implement these improvements.
Qualifications
We require...
- Bachelor’s degree in library sciences, information management, or related field.
- Proven experience in digital asset management, metadata, taxonomy, and SEO. Bynder experience is a plus!
- Understanding of copyright laws, licensing agreements, and digital rights management.
- Familiarity with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Project Management Systems.
- Experience as a photo assistant or digital tech in e-commerce, retail, or fashion is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, comfortable working in a highly creative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, prioritize workloads, and maintain accuracy within strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, departments and people manage.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and process mapping and optimization techniques.
