Job Description:

Location: Kerwin Hall, First floor – Office of Student Services

Work Hours per Week:  TBD

Job Description

  • Acts as a liaison between the Office of Student Services and the student population.

  • Provides excellent customer service when covering the Student Services front desk including, but not limited to, answering routine queries about SPA, providing directions, and answering inquiries about major events on campus.

  • Provides assistance to the offices and staff housed within Student Services (Undergraduate & Graduate Advising, Undergraduate Recruitment & Retention, SPA Graduate Admissions, & Career Services).

  • Assists Student Services Office Manager in the day-to-day operations and functions of the office.

  • Oversees SPA Undergraduate Ambassador Program including, but not limited to, recruitment and training of ambassadors, holding regular meetings with ambassadors, tracking participation in the program, and helping to coordinate service projects.

  • Helps in the execution of university-wide and school-specific events such as Preview Days, Eagle Summit, New Eagle Day, etc. 

  • Supporting and maintaining the Kerwin Hall lobby layout.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  •  Eligible candidates should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Google documents.

  • Candidates should be well-versed in the undergraduate programs SPA has to offer.

  • Position requires customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interface professionally with alumni, parents, staff, faculty, and students.

  • Requires ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Preferred requirements

  • Preference will be given to graduate SPA students.

Compensation:

  • $17.50 per hour.
