About the role

Riot Platforms is seeking a highly experienced Director / Senior Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) to lead transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving profitability across the organization. In this senior leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale CI projects, streamlining project management, integrating new (e.g., M&A) and existing functions to optimize processes, and leading efforts to foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams, driving operational and financial improvements, and delivering results in complex environments. This role will be reporting into the Vice-President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) but will be working closely with other Management Team members, including the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). 

Position leveling and compensation package will vary based on level of experience and capabilities of the candidate. 

Essential Functions

• Manage and execute large-scale Continuous Improvement initiatives that drive profit-enhancing results (e.g., productivity, margin improvement) and operational excellence across Riot Platforms. 
• Spearhead process optimization efforts, focusing on improving costs, optimizing organizational structures, and enhancing performance across departments, particularly during major initiatives like M&A integrations. 
• Oversee key projects, ensuring cross-functional alignment and the synchronization of critical timelines to guarantee seamless execution. 
• Define key performance metrics, integrate results into FP&A and broader Riot processes, and present outcomes to senior management to drive data-driven decision-making. 
• Become a trusted business partner to the Executive Team, including the COO and his broader Operations organization 
• Develop and deliver training programs to foster continuous improvement throughout the organization and drive widespread adoption of Lean principles.

• Proven ability to lead, influence, and manage matrixed and indirect teams to achieve high performance and strategic goals. 
• Deep understanding of how to implement process improvements that yield measurable results.
