Position Details:
The Department of Psychology at Washington State University invites applications for a full-time, permanent, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position on the flagship campus in Pullman, WA, with a specialty in clinical child and adolescent psychology. We seek applicants with an active research program in child or adolescent clinical psychology, who can provide clinical supervision for child and adolescent-focused practicum in our on-site outpatient clinic, and who can make a strong contribution to graduate and undergraduate education in psychology.
As new tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty, you will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, meaningfully contribute to enhancing the research reputation of the department, take an active role working with graduate students, provide clinical supervision, and make service contributions to the department, college, university, and profession. This 9-month academic appointment will be 40% teaching (12 credit hours per year), 40% research, and 20% service.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the appointment on August 16, 2027.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position.
This position is NOT eligible for overtime.
This position works on-site/in-person at the WSU campus in Pullman, WA.
9-Month Academic Salary: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.

Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in an APA-accredited clinical psychology doctoral program.
Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Washington in clinical psychology.
An active research program in clinical child or adolescent psychology or clinical science that focuses on mental health or well-being, broadly conceived.
