The Role and What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-focused Director to support client services, event strategy, and operations at a major sporting event in the Southeast United States. This individual will be a key driver behind our surrounding client hospitality programs– ensuring top-tier client satisfaction, creative program enhancements, and successful event execution each spring.
- Manages surrounding client relationships at a major sporting event in the Southeast United States, with a focus on retention and renewal.
- Ensures all program elements are clearly communicated and client deliverables are achieved through clear and timely email communication, calls, and site visits.
- Works in collaboration with rightsholder partner to deliver on rightsholder partner needs (e.g., reporting, ideation, etc.).
- Builds program budgets and prospect proposals by sourcing accommodations, transportation, catering, in-home stocking, activities and entertainment, and more.
- Implement and oversee an inventory management tool, such as Airtable or Asana, to ensure accurate asset tracking across all programs.
- Ideates, identifies, and executes additional client product offerings to elevate and expand guest experience and revenue opportunities.
- Leads and oversees additional service team members (both full and part-time).
- Builds and maintains longstanding vendor relationships, with a focus on improving processes and driving mutually beneficial cost savings.
- Manages legal and finance workstreams as needed.
- Oversees end-to-end program execution at the highest level of service.
- Assists with ideation and development of overall event offering and performance measured by identified KPIs.
You Have These:
- 7+ years of relevant business experience, preferably in a B2B client management or event property services
- 5+ years managing hospitality programs, with preference for golf or marquee level events
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative style and confidence to communicate effectively across all levels – strong in verbal, written, and presentation formats
- Demonstrated ability to balance big-picture creative thinking with practical, logistical execution—bringing innovative ideas to life for clients while managing complex projects, solving problems, connecting key stakeholders, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to stay composed under pressure or when onsite issues arise
- Ability to travel for business on weekends and holidays or to work nights and weekends when needed or scheduled
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time exempt position.
- Semi frequent travel (no less than quarterly), including multiple weeks in March and April
