What will your day look like?

  • Independently manage caseload for H-1B, L-1A, TN Permit, Employment based green cards, Canada ICT, and EU work permits.
  • Liaise with external immigration counsel and other vendors to ensure timely immigration milestones are met.
  • Liaise with external immigration counsel for global immigration cases and ad hoc issues related to US government inquiries, Canada, Europe or LATAM immigration issues for local employees.
  • Serve as the key communication point on the visa process, requesting case-related information as needed, and proactively keeping stakeholders apprised of case updates.
  • Handle the daily administration of immigration related tasks (review vendor invoices/cross charges, auditing, record keeping, tracking)
  • Advise and guide stakeholders (e.g., business partners and managers) on immigration-related business decisions, ensuring adherence to firm policies and guidance from counsel.
  • Assist with updating policy/process and project plan documentation (e.g., employee green card FAQs, immigration resources, standardized employee, and manager communications).
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting/metrics requests.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Looking for someone with immigration legal (as opposed to HR) background.
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of US immigration experience in non-immigrant, employment based green cards, and other visa matters.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio; HR information systems; etc.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork and collaborative skills working in a dynamic and changing multinational organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail - ability to review data, detect and correct errors, take responsibility for data quality/integrity.
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills – ability to explain complex immigration processes to stakeholders in simple terms.
  • Client service focus, responsiveness, and a “can-do” open minded attitude.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with operating as part of a global team.
