Join Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and become part of one of the world’s most respected healthcare organizations. We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
This role includes the exciting opportunity provide care in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ new Neurological Institute. This new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility is designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care in additional areas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more.
Registered Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. In this role, not only will you be a part of a team where development is encouraged, but you will also work a flexible weekend schedule of 24 hours while getting paid for 32 hours.
A caregiver in this position works part-time| weekends (Saturday & Sunday) |10:30am—11:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Maintain documentation.
Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
Can communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of pa
