System tester - Residential Robotic R&D - Husqvarna Group

Imagine stepping out of the car at the test site, the spring sun warming your face. Today, you'll be outdoors, testing a new type of robotic mower with exciting features soon to hit the market. There's a thrill in knowing your work will directly impact our customers' experience. With that thought, you take a sip of your coffee and start the day with some stay-out-zone testing for the mower. Another day we might find you at the office in Huskvarna, meeting the team on floor 3 in one of the newer buildings. You'll work with around 25 great colleagues, including 5 from our Mumbai office via Teams. We work agile, kicking off the day with a stand-up to plan the tests. Your contribution ensures our robotic mowers meet high-quality standards, improving user experience, enhancing product safety, and shaping the future of residential lawn care.

We are recruiting Robot Engineers - Husqvarna Group
 
In this role you will:

• Lead testing activities from a system test perspective, representing the team in project meetings.
• Plan and coordinate testing across multiple teams, aligning with project goals.
• Perform manual and automated testing on robotic lawnmowers, primarily outdoors.
• Provide regular reports on test progress, results, and issues, offering analysis and recommendations for improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and strategies.
• Travel to test sites around Husqvarna and internationally, conducting on-site testing and collaborating with teams across different locations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in system testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficient in various testing techniques, such as black-box testing, white-box testing, regression testing, etc.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA)

Are you a problem-solver with a keen analytical mind? We are looking for someone who can understand complex systems and pinpoint key areas for testing. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be essential in troubleshooting issues during testing and ensuring they are resolved effectively. You'll need a sharp eye to spot small inconsistencies or bugs in software behavior and understand how they might impact the overall system. Attention to detail is crucial. Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must, as you'll report on testing progress, explain test results, and recommend improvements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to work well in team environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams will be highly valued. Lastly, you'll need to manage your time efficiently, ensuring that testing activities are completed on schedule without compromising quality.
