Managing Director, IC Territory TRSS

As a Managing Director for The Intelligence Community (IC), your role is to lead the IC territory within Business Development with a focus on the sales, revenue, and marketing of TRSS offerings to include the Thomson Reuters products as well as the innovation and development of custom solutions for an IC focused territory. This role will utilize skills and knowledge related to working within a team environment to achieve TRSS sales success, increased usage and market share, revenue growth, and relationship building. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker, while ensuring business unit success and client satisfaction.
As a Managing Director for the IC, you will contribute to a variety of areas including:
Lead the IC territory sales and revenue team
Provide strategic and operational leadership to all types of field sales roles and PMs/CSMs to aggressively meet sales, revenue retention, and organizational objectives.
Designs and develop strategies to increase market share and grow short- and long-term business through management within the IC.
Leads creation and execution of strategy within the IC to maximize current and future growth of products and solutions.
Prospect in the assigned IC territory for new-to-TRSS accounts and leads new business proposals
Establish solid, long-term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, presenting solutions, and addressing customer concerns.
Attain assigned sales and revenue goals by closing new sales opportunities.
Partner with other Thomson Reuters business units to facilitate new sales
Keep up to date on competitive activities in accounts and communicate information to TRSS leadership
Direct and manage Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to prospective clients in close coordination with the TRSS Sales and delivery teams including the analysis and product/technical business units.
About You:
You’re a good fit for the role of Business Development Director if you meet the following criteria:
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 10 years of government or commercial sales or account management experience
Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques
Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation
Excellent communication, presentation and closing skills
Effective time management skills
Government sales and account management experience required
Public records/open source data experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of the government acquisition process
Ability to travel to sales training, meetings, and to customer locations
Customer service orientation and experience
Proficient in MS Office/internet
