Senior HR Technology Analyst, Workday Compensation and Absence

As the Workday Compensation and Absence Analyst, you are part of the Global HR Technology Team responsible for the analysis, design, and development of the Workday system, policies, and related processes. While working closely with all HR Centers of Excellence, you will build a thorough understanding of HR business processes, analyze the evolving business requirements to enable the development of business solutions, and improve the systems we support. This is a global role supporting the Compensation and Absence functional for IDEXX’s Workday instance that empowers our employee base of 10,000+ across more than 25 countries.
The Global HR Technology team consists of six committed professionals based in the US and Europe. You will have ownership of your functional areas of expertise – Compensation and Absence - and work collaboratively to support your peers and functional partner. We perform, thrive, and succeed as a united team.
What You Will Be Doing:
- You will manage Workday Core Compensation & Advanced Compensation and their related business processes, configurations (i.e. compensation rules and eligibility, support and maintain merit cycle processes, reporting), and key administrative features of Workday
- You will be responsible for the co-development of the Workday Compensation and Absence roadmap
- You will provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Workday Compensation and Absence issues
- You will manage and participate in compensation/absence-related projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- You will gather and document business requirements of new initiatives and/or changes to existing processes impacting Workday Compensation and Absence
- You will ensure strong stakeholder management between HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday system solutions that are built for IDEXX’s global scale and long-term sustainability
- You will stay up-to-date on Workday product releases and industry trends to ensure optimal system performance
- You will assist in developing and maintaining Workday Compensation and Absence communications, policies, and procedures
- You will serve as a subject-matter expert on the end-to-end flow of data between Workday and other applications and you will be able to visualize the data issues and articulate them
- You will promote self-service among users
What You Need To Succeed:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years of working experience with Workday’s Compensation and Absence configuration
- Experience with Workday technologies - Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Report Writer, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields
- Experience with Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) suite - Absences, Compensation
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manipulate large datasets
- Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
- Able to prioritize tasks with tight deadlines
- Experience balancing ambiguity and delivering in a fast-paced project environment
- Comfortable working both individually and as a team player
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively lead discussions
