What you will do:

The HR Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) is an experienced, high-level generalist and engaged business partner that is the HR business partner for the Silicone business teams. This position is the HR site leader for the Adrian, MI Silicones location, and also has HR oversight over the N. Canton, OH facility.  This HR Manager, HRBP will be a key leader toward driving a high-performing organization, value-based culture, by maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.  The HR Manager, HRBP will support the entire site and provide hands-on leadership and effort in executing Wacker’s people strategy in alignment with business and regional objectives.  This position is responsible for driving labor initiatives within the Adrian, MI and N. Canton, OH facilities. The HR Manager, HRBP serves as lead negotiator for collective bargaining agreements at these locations, as well as for WACKER’s Calvert City, KY site. 

  • The HR Manager, HRBP position aligns business objectives with team members and management in designated business divisions. The HRBP is the strategic partner and fosters an effective level of business engagement to drive the business division's financial position, its midrange strategic plans, its culture, and its competitiveness. This position leads organizational assessment that converts strategies into result driven actions. This is a highly visible position and will work directly with the leadership while fostering a climate of positive team member relations. The position formulates partnerships across the HR Center of Excellence’s to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflects the business objectives of the division.
  • Counsel leaders and individuals using a systematic approach to understanding, approaching, and solving employee/supervisor problems.  Manage and collaborate on activities associated with leadership development, employee relations, change management and operational excellence processes for the site.
  • Manage and implement various site HR management related activities, including:
  • Organizational design and changes
  • Maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with the region.
  • Various compensation and benefit programs, including pay, bonus, offer recommendations and open enrollment.
  • Performance and talent management programs and activities.
  • Immigration and global mobility programs.
  • Maintains Human Resources related KPI’s and Metrics, as well as complete periodic reports and summaries.
  • Leading region and site wide HR projects.
  • Driving with execution of the site Talent Acquisition and Training & Development programs
  • Leads all aspects of labor relations, including collective bargaining.
  • Works closely with management and team members to drive workplace culture and foster an environment of positivity and improved productivity and retention.
  • Compliance and recordkeeping requirements
  • All other duties as required, including but not limited to leadership and team roles for community relations, site communications, etc.

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, Masters Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an HR business partner or generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years experience with Labor Relations
  • HRCI or SHRM certification is preferred 
  • Thorough understanding of US
