Description
The Coordinator, Academy and Youth Projects, will work closely with the Academy Administrators, and Academy Coaching staff in executing multiple projects to build, develop, and grow the Developmental Academy both domestically and internationally. This person will also help drive more revenue through these projects, working closely with the SVP, Facilities, Revenue, and Operations.
Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute International Youth Tournaments. Work with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure a successful turnout.
- Coordinate all aspects of new Academy projects:
- Develop our Academy program both domestically and internationally.
- Support on definition of the projects
- Project Management
- Look for providers 3rd party teams to develop the project
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders within the organization to ensure alignment
- Assist Academy staff with developing and monitoring budget ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
- Follow up and deliver projects
- Lead academy tournament communication and align on sporting protocols with Communications department, Administrative, and operations staff.
- Oversee and develop training schedules, events, and competitions for early age groups (“La Cuna de los Sueños”).
- Coordinate logistics for transportation for Academy training – including, but not limited to, negotiating total transportation costs with vendors and coordinating bus routes. Work closely with Academy Administrators to ensure effective communication with parents. Ensure proper communication regarding schedule changes and updates.
- Assist Academy coaching staff with developing and monitoring budget for all youth and academy projects, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
- Prepare reports for SVP, Facilities, Revenue, & Operations, and Academy leadership team on project status and deliverables, budget adherence, and progression of all programs.
- Coordinate with local and international youth clubs and schools to build partnerships that support program growth.
- Develop our Academy program both domestically and internationally.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders within the organization to ensure alignment on all special projects.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Enthusiastic and energetic team player.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of MLS and international soccer.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/multi-task.
- Ability to work productively under pressure, problem solve and be consistently proactive.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) fluency required.
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends and holidays when required.
- Travel required for this job.
