Job Description

About your future role

You’ll be part of Nexi Infrastructure working in Cloud Management Center within a dedicated function supporting Nexi's key authorization and acquiring platform (UNI) has been established.

UNI Platform Management apply modern approaches to administration and operations with automation means and resilience patterns. We are expanding and seeking qualified and experienced engineers who are keen and capable of working on systems engineering and operational processes.

The core function is being established within Finland and Denmark but engaging with wider Nexi organisation, thus having English as its main language. Close colleagues within Cloud Management Center are located in the rest of Nordics and Nexi Italy.

Several profiles are being recruited having extensive experience with at least one of technologies below as well as common processes for the entire function.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Systems engineering and platform operations
• 24/7 on-call for middleware components and technical problems related to application workloads
• Environment and configuration management
• Deployment management of containerized application components
• Secrets / Certificate management
• Resilience and failover management
• Disaster / Recovery management
• Performance and capacity management
• End-2-end monitoring and alerting configuration
• End-2-end log configuration

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

• Engineering and operational experience with containerized applications (OpenShift) in addition to either messaging (Hazelcast / RabbitMQ), streaming (Kafka), or databases (MongoDB)
• Extensive use of automation/scripting for deployment (CI/CD), configuration management, monitoring etc.

Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:

• Experience with site reliability engineering
• Operational experience with business critical services requiring continuous availability
