Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team! This individual will develop A&A packages, run and review scans, perform continuous monitoring tasks and more.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for various systems using the Cybersecurity Assessment and Risk (CSAR) tool
- Perform continuous monitoring of authorized systems
- Conduct testing of the system components using ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans, STIGs, and IAVM reviews
- Analyze Nessus vulnerability scan results and develop/assist with documenting open findings in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs)
- Analyze DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) test results and develop/assist with documenting open findings in the POAMs
- Develop cyber dashboards
- Serve as a liaison between the cyber team and network support team
Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and securing DoD systems
- Certified as IAT or IAM Level II
- In depth understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
- Experience executing all aspects of the A&A process
- Experience running scans and reviewing NESSUS vulnerability scans and STIG test results
- Experience self-assessing security controls
- Professional and effective interpersonal skills and the ability to provide face-to-face customer support
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- SLBM experience
- Cybersecurity Assessment and Risk (CSAR) familiarity
- Experience with Splunk and developing cyber dashboards or similar technology
Education: Bachelors in technical/cyber field preferred but not required.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $165,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
