Working closely with the Registrar, the Senior Associate Registrar ensures the efficient management of academic records, course registration, and related services using the Workday Student platform. The Senior Associate Registrar leads the Registrar team in delivering outstanding service to students, faculty and staff. Upholds the highest standards of integrity in maintaining student records and other Registrar functions. Works as a highly organized, collaborative, and proactive team member.
Outcomes
60% of Time: Manages Registrar Operations
- Oversee management of academic records, registration, grading, degree audits, and transcript production using the College’s newly implemented Workday Student platform
- Ensure compliance with federal and institutional policies, including FERPA.
- Maintain and optimize systems for student records, degree audits, and related technologies.
- Oversees all aspects, from student records, of graduation and the degree conferral process.
- Configures and interprets business rules within student information systems.
- Ensure compliance with the National Student Clearinghouse
20% of Time: Oversees Registrar Office Staff and Policy
- Supervise and evaluate Registrar’s Office staff, fostering professional development.
- Develop and implement policies to streamline operations and improve student experiences.
- Provide training on procedures and systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
20% of Time: Communicates and Collaborates with Stakeholders
- Maintain relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to support institutional initiatives.
- Serve on committees to contribute to academic policy development and planning.
- Lead the creation and revision of multi-year academic calendars.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Education:
- Education: Master’s degree required.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar’s Office.
- Experience with Workday Student preferred
- High level of experience with configuration and interpretation of business rules within student information systems.
- Demonstrated success with strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in student information systems, learning management platforms, and data analysis tools. Experience with Workday Student preferred
Leadership Skills:
- Strong team leader who can effectively manage and develop staff.
Problem-Solving:
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
