Overview
The Sr. Technical Product Owner is responsible for driving solution design and definition that support business ideas and product concepts at a team, program, and enterprise level through ideating, gathering, refining and translating product vision and requirements into application software solutions. The Sr. Technical Product Owner has deep domain knowledge, and strong experience in collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team including Product Managers, Solution and Enterprise Architects, User Experience Designers, and teams such as Client Services, Operations, Clinical, Data Science, and Marketing. Sr. Technical Product Owner’s are accountable to facilitate and drive Design Driven Development processes and influence artifact outputs throughout the design process while also navigating project milestones in conjunction with Program Management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and (co)facilitate project working sessions throughout the design driven development engagement – including but not limited to product vision, scoping and problem statement sessions, user research working sessions, requirement refinements, workflow diagramming sessions, usability testing, and other various adhoc product design working sessions throughout the design process.
- Collaborate and closely partner with product management teams to align the product strategy and vision with overall business goals and objectives – strong Product Management skills is a plus.
- Conduct interviews and requirement workshops with a cross-discipline team to elicit understanding of business needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, architectural leads and UX designers to drive an experience and technical solution that meets the program level objectives and vision.
- Collaborate directly with Product, Business, and development teams in the creation and maintenance of requirements (Lean Business Case).
- Collaborate across release trains (program level) and value streams (portfolio level).
- Collaborate with Program Management to resolve and/or escalate project issues, removing roadblocks for UX/UI Designers and Architecture.
- Collaborate with Program Management in the creation of weekly status readouts to inform project leaders of status and critical project items.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to product owners and team members.
- Create narratives detailing project results and shared insights via case studies.
- Continuously learn and improve the product ownership practices within the design driven development team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field or significant equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years’ experience with systems modeling, user interface design and prototyping, decision trees, and data flow.
- 3+ years’ experience in Scrum Agile development or Scaled Agile Framework preferred.
- Expert use of analysis, documentation, and presentation tools such as Miro, Figma, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills; team player.
- Strong positive, problem solving attitude; able to rally and inspire team towards goals.
- Strong written skills showing the ability to convey functional details accurately in a well-structured and precise manner that describe end user problems and solutions.
- Proven problem-solving skills, is logical and analytical.
- Ability to learn healthcare domain quickly (prior healthcare experience desired).
- 10 years business analysis experience.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

- Attention to Detail: must have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Strong numerical skills are essential for conducting quantitative analysis, working with statistical methods and models, and manipulating data using mathematical operations.
- Data Interpretation: skilled in interpreting data visualizations, charts, graphs, and other forms of data presentation to extract meaningful insights and communicate findings effectively.
