Senior Digital Design Engineer

The Precision Signal Chain Group (PSC) is a key technology franchise within ADI, developing industry-leading precision front-end solutions for Instrumentation, Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, Communications, and Consumer applications. PSC is seeking a senior digital design engineer to join our mixed-signal design team in developing state-of-the-art precision converter product with significant digital content. This role would span the entire product development cycle from concept phase through design, verification, implementation, and release to customers. There would be opportunities to collaborate within the wider ADI technical community and gain exposure to many technologies and products.
The position is based in Cork or Limerick, Ireland.
Responsibilities are:
- Understanding design/system requirements and convert these to a functional digital design
- Act as design hub to interact with stakeholders – test, evaluation, application, physical implementation, verification
- RTL design using System Verilog
- Formal and CDC analysis
- Defining synthesis timing constraints and performing static timing analysis
- Guiding the physical design and DFT efforts for your designs
- Power consumption and power integrity analysis
- Effective and efficient design documentation and design review presentations
- Participation in weekly project meetings and design collaboration meetings
- Test bench development and functional verification
Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in digital design engineering
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are required.
- Mastering fundamental concepts of digital logic design
- Knowledge of Verilog required
- Block-level verification and gate-level simulation
- FPGA prototyping beneficial
- Knowledge of system on-chip solutions with processors (ARM preferred)
- Knowledge of processor architectures and bus fabric protocols (AHB,AXI,…)
- Knowledge of digital design for data filter/processing, MATLAB experience beneficial
- Knowledge of digital interfaces (SPI/I2C/SPMI/I3C/UART/…).
- Knowledge of UVM beneficial
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
