The Job:
As the Manager of Global Component Planning, you’ll be part of the Tools & Outdoor Global Inventory Strategy team, based hybrid in Towson, MD, New Britain, CT, or Valle City, OH. Reporting to the Director of Global Inventory Strategy, you and your team will:
- Analyze supply chain constraints and develop strategies to enable capacity improvements.
- Responsible for globally planned component supply and availability of critical electronics across the Stanley Black & Decker global network.
- Responsible for supplier order fulfillment to meet production requirements, measured against customer service and inventory KPI’s.
- Operate within financially aligned targets, while having critical focus on the impact to global customer fill rates, working capital, and logistics.
Specifically, you’ll:
- Lead a team of component planners to innovate reporting and analytic tools to improve process and drive action.
- Develop and implement strategies, processes, and policies in alignment with department plans, key inventory targets and financial goals.
- Maintain long range capacity reviews, monitoring demand changes to drive business allocation decisions with relevant teams.
- Manage global Product Lifecycle Management strategies with component planners.
- Establish close relationships with Global Sourcing, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, component vendors, and various regional supply chain teams to establish, drive and increase sufficient capacity.
- 10% - 20% - domestic travel
The Person

- Bachelor’s degree – Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years of supply chain experience with thorough knowledge of supply, capacity, materials, and production planning.
- At least three (3) years of management.
- Strong affinity for data analysis that goes beyond Excel such as statistical modeling and integrated planning.
- Previous experience and advanced skillset with global ERP systems required; JDA, SAP and SAP IBP preferred.
