About the role

Administer and manage NetApp ONTAP NAS storage systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Oversee the administration of enterprise object storage systems, such as Dell ECS, to meet organizational needs.
Implement and manage data backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.
Enforce security best practices for storage systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Develop and manage scripts to automate and streamline tasks within the storage team’s perimeter.
Perform regular software and firmware upgrades for storage systems, ensuring the latest features and security patches are implemented.
Participate in incident management, providing root-cause analysis and applying lessons learned to improve storage processes and procedures.
Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide knowledge transfer to other team members to ensure skill sharing and continuity of expertise.
Lead and manage storage-related projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and align with business goals.
Participate in the on-call rota for storage and backup teams, ensuring support availability when required.

Proven expertise in NetApp ONTAP NAS storage administration, including troubleshooting and optimization.
Strong experience in backup and storage solutions, with a focus on high-availability configurations.
3rd level expertise in object storage technologies, with experience in resolving complex storage issues.
Solid understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python) for process improvement and task automation.
In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with experience in storage-related troubleshooting.
