Zendesk is looking for a Senior Copywriter to help deliver the distinct voice of the brand behind our billion-dollar company. You’ll work as a mighty creative champion, making sure our work is easy to understand, confident, generous, and mega fresh.

This is a collaborative role on our Creative Team. You’ll be working with skilled designers, filmmakers, producers, illustrators, and alongside a crew of other writers – all of whom are fearlessly brilliant, down to earth, and only occasionally ridiculous.

The day-to-day:

• Help with strategy and lead creative work for high-level brand awareness, high-impact thought leadership campaigns, and performance marketing. This includes web pages, activations, messaging docs, video scripts, and more.

• Consult on briefing, direction, execution, and resource allocation for various projects.

• Champion and generate ideas around innovative and effective campaigns.

• Operate as an active listener, and translate expectations, goals and priorities into kick ass creative.

• Present work in a clear and compelling way to our stakeholders.

• Partner with senior creatives across the Creative Team to ensure consistency and quality across all brand and message touchpoints.

• Guide junior creatives through more complex project requirements.

• Embrace differences and look for opportunities to collaborate and strengthen global diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a copywriter working in creative marketing and/or advertising. Agency experience would be good; experience working in-house gets an extra gold star.

• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior creatives.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. You should be able to dazzle people with your headlines and entice them with your body copy.

• Understanding of the intricacies of brand and creative disciplines.

• Ability to collaborate and incorporate people from across the team – including stakeholders and external contributors.

• Can move from high-level strategic conversation to grammar-perfect writing with ease.

Candidates must include a portfolio. Work samples should show wit, personality, attention to detail, and a variety of experience.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$156,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
