Summary of Job Duties:

The Senior Director (Chief of Staff for the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement or ACHI) position provides a liaison and buffer between a chief executive officer and that executive's direct-reporting team. The chief of staff generally works behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are brought to the President and CEO. Often the Senior Director acts as a confidante and advisor to the CEO, acting as a sounding board for ideas. Ultimately the actual duties depend on the position and the people involved will work closely with the CEO to ensure that the CEO is concentrating time and effort on strategic activities vital to the stability and sustainability of the organization. The Senior Director is an integral part of the ACHI leadership team, assisting in the creation of efficient and effective operational plans for projects within the organization’s core business areas: operations, policy analysis and communications, data architecture, research & evaluation, and program development and management.
